NetEase’s open-world urban RPG Infinity Great  is set to launch simultaneously worldwide on January 15, 2027.

During the openingnight live stream of gamescom 2026, Naked Rain Studio, under NetEase Leihuo, officially announced that Infinity Great, a highfreedom urban openworld RPG, will launch globally on January 15, 2027. The title will be available across PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, Android and cloud streaming platforms, supporting raytracing and DLSS 4 to deliver premium visual quality for crossplatform players.

Infinity Great is an openworld title rooted in modern oriental urban settings, featuring multiple largescale cities including Xinqi and the newlyrevealed Chongxiao. Drawing inspiration from realworld Shanghai and Hangzhou, Chongxiao incorporates iconic landmarks such as the Bund skyline, Wukang Road, West Lake, Leifeng Pagoda and Longjing tea plantations into its virtual landscape, blending contemporary metropolitan energy with profound oriental cultural charm. Far more than a traversable game map, Chongxiao serves as the protagonist’s hometown. Players can dive into authentic everyday city life: visiting local markets, picking tea in plantations, taking part in movieset shooting sequences and interacting with neighbourhood residents. Many ordinary NPCs conceal unique personal backstories, building an immersive urban living atmosphere full of human warmth.

Exploration is empowered by an extensive vehicle and traversal system. Alongside wingsuit gliding, yachts, motorcycles, helicopters and metro transit, Chongxiao introduces lifestyleoriented local conveyances including skateboards, shared bicycles and electric scooters. Gamers may soar over the metropolis in flying vehicles or cruise city streets on escooters to discover every corner of the virtual world. Combat draws heavy inspiration from kungfu cinema with fully interactive environmental props. Players can grab onsite objects for combat, execute welltimed parries, evasive manoeuvres and fluid combo chains. New oriental fistandblade martialarts mechanics deliver hardhitting, satisfying fight encounters.

The title brings differentiated innovations to narrative and gameplay by introducing a builtin socialmedia and followerreputation system. Ingame, the protagonist rises to internet fame under the nickname “Kick-Fly Hero” after unexpected incidents. Socialmedia influence and growing fanbase become vital assets for navigating conflicting urban factions and unravelling deepseated city mysteries. Beyond mainstory missions, players may freely switch between urban identities such as police officer, hacker and driver, each granting exclusive interaction modes and narrative perspectives. As followers expand, users recruit distinct companions and uncover their personal life stories to form a complete gameplay loop. Moving away from prevailing gacha mechanics in the industry, Infinity Great adopts cosmeticonly monetization.
